This weekend, our current trainees are about to experience the Level 5 Weekend. It's one of our favorites as all the fun advanced tricks are taught and learned. In Level 5, some of the fun things that we will be doing are Backbends on the Reformer, Adult Gymnastics on the Cadillac and even Back Walkovers off the High Barrel. It is also so great to see our students achieve the level of fitness required for these high risk elements, from all of the self-workout hours required in the course. We hear a lot of clapping from the students and cheering each other on.

The students have been together now during their training for the last 7 months, there is great camaraderie for each other. It's one of my favorite levels to teach as many of the students feel unsure whether they will be able to do these movements, and are so very proud of themselves when we spot them through and then are able to do the movements by themselves. We've had students in the past, never having experienced  the ability to do a handstand, and are able to with the help of the High Barrel. Joseph Pilates was often heard saying, "Rome wasn't built in a day", and I often find myself saying the same thing to the students. You have to keep working at your Pilates, building strength, flexibility and confidence in movement, then suddenly everything will fall into place and you will be doing Control Arabesque off the Reformer in no time!
