Overview

90-Minute Movement Assessment with Jill Cassady

This 90-minute session is a comprehensive look at how your body moves today and how to help it move better. Jill will take time to understand your history, goals, and any current discomfort, then guide you through a careful assessment that informs a tailored plan.

What is assessed

  • Posture and alignment across standing, sitting, and lying positions

  • Gait analysis to observe how you walk and transfer weight through the feet, knees, hips, and spine

  • Everyday movement patterns like getting up from a chair, lifting, reaching, and stair navigation

  • Mobility and range of motion at key joints

  • Core coordination and breath mechanics to support efficient movement

  • Strength, balance, and stability to identify imbalances or weak links

  • Areas of tightness or pain and likely contributing movement habits

How it works

Using classical Pilates principles and proper body mechanics, Jill slows things down so you can feel what is happening and why. She will:

  • Explain the “why” behind each finding in clear, simple language

  • Introduce specific cues and drills to improve alignment and control

  • Teach you how to organize your body so everyday movement feels lighter and more efficient

  • Offer tools you can use immediately at home or in future sessions

What you take away

  • Personalized recommendations for exercises, mobility work, and self-care

  • Targeted cues that help you move with less effort and less discomfort

  • Prioritized next steps so you know what to focus on first

  • Optional training plan outlining how often to practice and how to progress

Who this is for

Anyone who wants to reduce discomfort, improve posture, walk and move with more ease, return to activity after time off, or prepare for a personalized Pilates program.

What to wear and bring

Wear comfortable clothing you can move in and bring any relevant imaging or notes from your provider if applicable. Athletic shoes are helpful for the gait portion.

Note: You may reschedule or cancel up to 24 hours before your appointment. Late cancellations and no-shows within 24 hours are charged in full.
