Exercise stretches my whole spine

After a lovely but long day of teaching, this little nugget of an exercise stretches my whole spine and puts my body back together. Lengthening and massaging my cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine, while opening the chest, diaphragm and hip Flexors.

Ron Fletcher, bless his heart, showed me this movement back in the ‘90’s. I was doing the regular Push Through and he said, “ My dear, you should take that a step further, this feels divine.”

Because of the hands on the fixed push through bar, there is minimal tension on the discs and vertebrae, allowing a body to stretch as long as possible because their Powerhouse is engaged and the breath is used to support the spine. Because of the control required to articulate the spine, a client must be at least at an intermediate level.
